The Vandrews
Media brand.
A working reference for designers, partners, and AI tools — everything you need to render the Vandrews Media identity consistently across paid social, sales material, and the EduFlow Authority System.
What we sound like.
Three notes that should sit underneath every piece of communication — from a landing page headline to a one-line ad caption.
We help schools win more inquiries — not chase more impressions.
Educational, not salesy
Lead with what the reader will learn. Trade clever for clear. If a school director can't paraphrase the point after one read, rewrite it.
Confident, not loud
Short sentences. Real numbers. Specific claims. The black-and-yellow visuals carry the volume so the copy can speak quietly.
Built for admissions
Every example should map back to the EduFlow Authority System — paid social, qualified inquiries, enrollment outcomes. No generic marketing platitudes.
Logo system.
Four official lockups. Use the horizontal mark + wordmark wherever possible; reach for the standalone mark only when space is genuinely constrained.
Primary lockups · drag to compare light & dark versions
Clear space & minimum size
Give the mark room to breathe.
Use the width of the V in the wordmark as the unit (X). Maintain X of clear space on every side. Nothing — text, edges, icons — should encroach on this zone.
Don'ts
Color palette.
A deliberately tight system. Black and white carry the structure; Authority Yellow is the only accent — used sparingly to highlight the single thing on the page that matters most.

The 70 / 20 / 10 rule
White space dominates. Black structures the type and layout. Yellow appears in roughly one of every ten pixels — never more.
Yellow earns its place
Use Authority Yellow for one thing per surface — the primary CTA, a single highlighted phrase, or a hero accent. Never decoration.
Contrast is non-negotiable
Text must always meet WCAG AA. Yellow text on white fails — only ever put yellow on black, or use it as a fill behind dark text.
Typography.
A pairing built for clarity: Inter Black does the headlining heavy lifting; Noto Serif Display in italic carries editorial moments — pull quotes, intro decks, the human voice underneath the system.

Inter Black sets the claim. Noto Serif Display italic softens the follow-through. Body returns to Inter 400 for the closing detail and the CTA below.
The three numbers every admissions team should know.
A short read for school founders running paid social.
Headlines stay tight (−0.025 em). Italic serif handles the deck. Body copy never goes above 16 px on the web; 14 px in print.
Iconography.
Geometric, 1.6 px stroke, no fills. Icons match the geometry of the mark — circular containers, clean intersections, no rounded corners on flat ends.
Reference set
1.6 px, round caps
Consistent stroke weight across the set. Avoid mixing 1 px and 2 px lines in the same layout.
24 × 24 viewBox
Designed on a 24 unit grid. Padding of 2 units inside the bounding box keeps weight uniform.
Ink, never yellow
Icons inherit current text color. Yellow is reserved for highlights, not iconography.
No fills, no shadows
Resist filled glyphs, gradients, and drop shadows. The geometry should do the work.
Photography & Imagery.
The visual world of Vandrews Media itself — founder-led, content-first, made to live on Instagram, YouTube, and ad creative. This is what our brand looks like, not what a client's school looks like.

Additional content types
Founder-led, not faceless
Vandrews Media has a person at the center. Lean on portraits, talking-head crops, and BTS over abstract "agency" imagery.
High-contrast, natural light
Strong directional light — window, key light, or stage. Deep blacks. Warm whites. Imagery should feel cinematic, not flat.
Space for type to land
Shoot and crop with the headline in mind. Leave one quadrant quiet so a yellow CTA, mark, or hook can drop into the composition.
Mix media types
Portraits, BTS, screenshots, and quote cards all count as brand imagery. Variety is how a content feed reads as "a Vandrews Media feed."
No stock or AI portraits
Skip generic agency stock, AI-generated faces, and "team smiling around a laptop." The brand is a real person — use real captures.
No clashing color casts
Avoid heavy teal-and-orange grades, pastel filters, or any tone that fights the black / yellow / white palette. Color comes from the brand, not the photo.
UI components.
A starter kit for landing pages, decks, and admissions-facing tools. All components inherit the type and color tokens above — drop them into a layout and they'll feel on-brand automatically.

A small set of high-contrast graphic devices for moments when the page needs energy — covers, sectional dividers, social tiles. All built from the three palette colors. No gradients.
Textures in context

Texture is the brand
Real paper grain and dust noise carry the marker / paint / hand-drawn aesthetic. Use textures as backgrounds for headlines, covers, and social tiles — they replace flat fills wherever the page needs warmth.
Black, white, yellow only
Drop textures behind palette-locked type and marks. Dust textures for dark surfaces, paper for light, and a multiplied paper grain when you need textured yellow.
Logo needs breathing room
The horizontal lockup can sit on paper texture (it stays calm), but never on the dust texture or the geometric circle pattern — those backgrounds compete with the wordmark.
That's the brand.
Now use it well.
